Automatic Import Notifications for Steel Products (AAIPS)
These Notices are a requirement established by the Ministry of Economy to regulate the importation of specific steel products and ensure compliance with trade regulations. These notices enable authorities to monitor the entry of steel products into the country, ensuring they meet quality and origin standards. They are mandatory for goods classified under various tariff lines within headings 7202 to 7317.
Who is required to obtain it?
Companies importing steel products must process this notice prior to customs operations. To do so, they must possess documents such as:

Mill Test Certificate (MTC): Certifies the origin of the steel.

Certificate of Quality: Issued by the manufacturer.
What is the application process?
The procedure is carried out through the Mexican Single Window for Foreign Trade (VUCEM), where the required documents must be submitted and the application signed using the electronic signature (e.firma). There are two notice schemes available:
